D’Jungle Now Unchained

After About Five Years In The Rap Game, Djungle, Thika’s Probably Most Recognizable Rapper, Has Finally Dropped His Debut Studio Album And It’s Nothing Short Of FIRE – To Describe It In One Word!!

Fans Of Djungle Would Have Expected The Album To Be Ridden With And Full Of CMG Artists But The Album Only Features Little Known But Highly Talented New Cats In The Game Namely Donga D (From Ruiru Ndani 145), And Vocalist/Singers Kendi, Nita and Tess With Superprodusir Mixing And Mastering The Whole Album As Well As Jumping On One Of The Tracks To Put The Icing On The Cake.

The Album Goes Hard In Reviving HipHop In Kenya Having Featured The Legendary Zakah From The Renowned Ukoo Flani HipHop Group Which Pioneered And Originated HipHop Music In Kenya. The First Single Off Of The Album ‘Saa Hii Saa Saa Hii’ Which Is Available On YouTube, Takes It To An Entire Other Level When It Comes To Hardcore HipHop With Its Chorus Speaking For Itself, “Kama HipHop Is Dead Tunaifufusha Saa Hii Saa Hii” (Which Translates To, “If HipHop Is Dead We’re Reviving It This Minute”) And Is Undoubtedly A Heavy Banger That Will Soon Be Taking Over The Airwaves, If It Hasn’t Already, So Be Sure To Hear It All Over On Replay.

Superprodusir Pours His Heart Out

It’s February yet again! Thank God Njaanuary ended on a good note and I must say it wasn’t as bad as many people thought it would be really. I think it’s a mindset thing though because some people are never broke in January well at least if you set your mind right.

Well now that we’re here in this amazing month of love for the lovers by the lovers, 254CMG’s Superprodusir has released a brand new song PUMBAZA. An african story about an african boy who is madly into a certain african girl. Guys I’m sure you can relate when you meet that honey for the first time and you sort of bond when you have a conversation. One thing leads to another, late night calls and texts to dates to just chilling in the crib enjoying each other’s company. Heck guys even ditch their friends just to spend time with that girl their crazy about. I once heard a guy make an excuse that his grandmother died and he had to travel just to stay in with his girl in the crib during the weekend and not party with the boys. Alafu slayqueen bado aseme ati Kenyan men are not romantic!

You can listen to the song Superprodusir – Pumbaza.

Happy lover’s month!

Brand new Iwachang’o by D’Jungle and DJ Slim B Addresses Tribalism

Post Image

Tribalism continues to shake the core of our country Kenya and it is way past due time to address this atrocity that threatens the stability of our nation if not addressed head on and grabbed by the horns. And who better to address this monster than us the youth whose future is at stake should this hideousness called tribalism continue to grow?

Well, CMG-signed artist D’jungle with fellow artist DJ Slim B came together and cooked up something that finally paints tribalism for what it truly is and urge fellow youth and Kenyans in general to get up in arms to combat tribalism once and for all lest they fall prey to the full wrath of the vice and live to regret later when it is too late.

Iwachang’o is a beautifully scripted, executed and produced track that is mostly done in the Luo dialect and although this is a song addressing a serious evil corrupting our nation, the song also brings about the feel to grab someone and head to the dance floor and jump and bump to it all through to the last beat and once it is over, press repeat and dance to it again. Watch out for the track dropping officially on the 11th of November 2016. Make sure to download it here and be among the first tp listen and also share the track as well as request it on your favorite local radio stations. The party was crazy turnt and at some point had to shit venues to allow for a larger crowd and more spectacular performances but all in all it was an evening well spent. The THEQA THEQA Tape Promotion Animation Video

The latest and most anticipated project from the CMG studios is just days away from release and if you haven’t heard about it yet then you must be living under a rock.

#The_TheqaTheqa_Tape (as the project is called) brings together the expertise of CMG signed rappers D’Jungle and Deniro along other great new school talents in the Kenyan music scene including the likes of B-Kay, Scar and Domain Wakadinali who are sure to win you over to the team too good music side of life.

And to build hype around the mixtape, these guys took to social media with viral talks around the project months before it’s launch. With the hashtags #TheqaTheqaShit and #The_TheqaTheqa_Tape, the squad has gone wild on Facebook, Twitter as well as Instagram to let their followers know that this particular project is the tape to watch out for and if that wasn’t enough, the team also recently shared a YouTube animation video that explains more on the project including their goal to sell a minimum 1000 copies in the first two weeks of release, reminding their fans to shun music piracy and buy authentic Kenyan music.

If this strategy is going to pay off is something we are yet to find out but in my opinion looking at the amount of work these artists have put into building hype around this project, it’s bound to be one of the biggest mixtapes this year. You can check out the animation YouTube video here and follow the artists on twitter at @D_JungleIzMe and @DeniroUleWah to learn more about them and their upcoming project.
