D’Jungle Now Unchained

After About Five Years In The Rap Game, Djungle, Thika’s Probably Most Recognizable Rapper, Has Finally Dropped His Debut Studio Album And It’s Nothing Short Of FIRE – To Describe It In One Word!!

Fans Of Djungle Would Have Expected The Album To Be Ridden With And Full Of CMG Artists But The Album Only Features Little Known But Highly Talented New Cats In The Game Namely Donga D (From Ruiru Ndani 145), And Vocalist/Singers Kendi, Nita and Tess With Superprodusir Mixing And Mastering The Whole Album As Well As Jumping On One Of The Tracks To Put The Icing On The Cake.

The Album Goes Hard In Reviving HipHop In Kenya Having Featured The Legendary Zakah From The Renowned Ukoo Flani HipHop Group Which Pioneered And Originated HipHop Music In Kenya. The First Single Off Of The Album ‘Saa Hii Saa Saa Hii’ Which Is Available On YouTube, Takes It To An Entire Other Level When It Comes To Hardcore HipHop With Its Chorus Speaking For Itself, “Kama HipHop Is Dead Tunaifufusha Saa Hii Saa Hii” (Which Translates To, “If HipHop Is Dead We’re Reviving It This Minute”) And Is Undoubtedly A Heavy Banger That Will Soon Be Taking Over The Airwaves, If It Hasn’t Already, So Be Sure To Hear It All Over On Replay.

Superprodusir Pours His Heart Out

It’s February yet again! Thank God Njaanuary ended on a good note and I must say it wasn’t as bad as many people thought it would be really. I think it’s a mindset thing though because some people are never broke in January well at least if you set your mind right.

Well now that we’re here in this amazing month of love for the lovers by the lovers, 254CMG’s Superprodusir has released a brand new song PUMBAZA. An african story about an african boy who is madly into a certain african girl. Guys I’m sure you can relate when you meet that honey for the first time and you sort of bond when you have a conversation. One thing leads to another, late night calls and texts to dates to just chilling in the crib enjoying each other’s company. Heck guys even ditch their friends just to spend time with that girl their crazy about. I once heard a guy make an excuse that his grandmother died and he had to travel just to stay in with his girl in the crib during the weekend and not party with the boys. Alafu slayqueen bado aseme ati Kenyan men are not romantic!

You can listen to the song Superprodusir – Pumbaza.

Drop a comment if you like, subscribe to our mailing list for new jams and also share ikibamba. Share the love and don’t forget love is not a feeling, it’s a commitment!

Happy lover’s month!

Brand new Iwachang’o by D’Jungle and DJ Slim B Addresses Tribalism

Post Image

Tribalism continues to shake the core of our country Kenya and it is way past due time to address this atrocity that threatens the stability of our nation if not addressed head on and grabbed by the horns. And who better to address this monster than us the youth whose future is at stake should this hideousness called tribalism continue to grow?

Well, CMG-signed artist D’jungle with fellow artist DJ Slim B came together and cooked up something that finally paints tribalism for what it truly is and urge fellow youth and Kenyans in general to get up in arms to combat tribalism once and for all lest they fall prey to the full wrath of the vice and live to regret later when it is too late.

Iwachang’o is a beautifully scripted, executed and produced track that is mostly done in the Luo dialect and although this is a song addressing a serious evil corrupting our nation, the song also brings about the feel to grab someone and head to the dance floor and jump and bump to it all through to the last beat and once it is over, press repeat and dance to it again. Watch out for the track dropping officially on the 11th of November 2016. Make sure to download it here and be among the first tp listen and also share the track as well as request it on your favorite local radio stations. dsc_0249The TheqaTheqa Tape project by D’Jungle and Deniro finally dropped and the artists, together with the CMG family, planned a listening party in their home turf Ruiru which went down on Saturday, October 1st.

The event not only gave fans stunning performances by various artists from and beyond CMG but also the opportunity to sample the tracks from The TheqaTheqa Tape as well as a special Q&A segment which involved the dual (D’Jungle and Deniro) and other artists featured in the project explaining almost in detail their inspiration and choice to come up with the songs in the Tape and their expectations on their new project.

The party was crazy turnt and at some point had to shit venues to allow for a larger crowd and more spectacular performances but all in all it was an evening well spent. If in case you missed out then worry not coz we had you covered and you can check out the pictures below to see just how the event went down. Some of the singles off of The TheqaTheqa Tape, including the latest release ‘Story Ya Doe’ featuring D’Jungle, Deniro and Scar, are now available for streaming and download and can be accessed by clicking here .

The THEQA THEQA Tape Promotion Animation Video

Post Image

The latest and most anticipated project from the CMG studios is just days away from release and if you haven’t heard about it yet then you must be living under a rock.

#The_TheqaTheqa_Tape (as the project is called) brings together the expertise of CMG signed rappers D’Jungle and Deniro along other great new school talents in the Kenyan music scene including the likes of B-Kay, Scar and Domain Wakadinali who are sure to win you over to the team too good music side of life.

And to build hype around the mixtape, these guys took to social media with viral talks around the project months before it’s launch. With the hashtags #TheqaTheqaShit and #The_TheqaTheqa_Tape, the squad has gone wild on Facebook, Twitter as well as Instagram to let their followers know that this particular project is the tape to watch out for and if that wasn’t enough, the team also recently shared a YouTube animation video that explains more on the project including their goal to sell a minimum 1000 copies in the first two weeks of release, reminding their fans to shun music piracy and buy authentic Kenyan music.

If this strategy is going to pay off is something we are yet to find out but in my opinion looking at the amount of work these artists have put into building hype around this project, it’s bound to be one of the biggest mixtapes this year. You can check out the animation YouTube video here and follow the artists on twitter at @D_JungleIzMe and @DeniroUleWah to learn more about them and their upcoming project. “…If He Only Calls You Up When He’s Thirsty…”

Post Image

We live in such a social media lifestyle these days nobody has time for each other! Heck we don’t even have time for ourselves these days! Phone ring here, message there. (Uuugh such a noisy environment we live in these days!)

There are those people you speak to who are close to you and your’e in constant communication so social media has it’s positives too. Now there are on the other hand those people who call or text only when they want something from you. I call them “sumbua”. The type of people who remember you only when they want something or need some help! Yeah I’m talking about you type of girls who call up a guy only when you need some mullah! Coming up with all types of reasons just to milk mi pockets!

I’m sure the ladies have some stuff to complain about too and one very disappointed “Kabura” from “Exit 10 Mafia”  has come out quite strong when she was featured by 254CMG member and C.E.O of “Exit 10 Mafia” Lox de Chiz(a.k.a LDC) in his brand new single “She Gotta Go”.

You know one of the best things that come with being the best is working with the best…….(I see you hater…. I see you). Back to the point. You Know one of the best things that come with being the best is working with the best and each and every time this one director and editor Bryan Adagala always amazes me. You’ll just judge for yourself in a minute when you watch the Lyric video to “She Gotta Go”!

Now without “mother” ado I present to you “She Gotta Go” by 254CMG’s LDC featuring Kabura. You can download the audio and watch the lyric video too!

What Is New With Deniro

Post Image

Only weeks after launching his collabo project with fellow CMG signed artist D’Jungle, Deniro has proven himself to be in the big league of artists or rather #TeamNoSleep after announcing plans of his up coming mega project together with the super talented beatmaker Afroplayback.

The two have worked together on various projects before including Deniro’s most recent releases like the tracks So Sick and Vile Naskia which you can click on and get to listen to and download from this site.

Although the artist has kept his mouth shut on when in particular we can expect new stuff from his works with Afroplayback, he has hinted out that he will be dropping new music soon and so we can only wait for the surprise releases but we can bet for sure he will be dropping some really hot stuff.

Always keep it here to be in the know of what’s new and what’s going on in the CMG family. And also share the site with family and friends for music download, exclusive links and interesting entertainment news.

Legendary Rapper 2Pac Still Lives!

Post Image

Hey 254CMG fans! We are glad to inform you that a major hit song is set to drop on the 8th of this month. Our very own 67 Karatz and Monitah have a must listen for y’all called “I ain’t mad”.

I would be so mad and so would you…but 67 ain’t.! The song is inspired by  two lovers who had promised to stay together forever.(as most of us do) promises!!!

As 67 Karatz narrates, he had to leave and his lady promised to wait for him. But the sad thing is that she eventually moves on. 67 Karatz recalls all the memories they shared including turning up on Tuesdays and how his mom used to like her. But now that she moves on,he confesses his feelings outright though in a sarcastic way. “I ain’t mad at you”.

But there are always two sides of the story. As Monitah sings, she waited. But the wait became too long and she became impatient.   And she had to move on. But she also “ain’t mad at him”. Juicy story right? Watch out for the video of this amazing song on YouTube now!

[av_video src=’http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRSnWYQsfvA&feature=youtu.be’ format=’16-9′ width=’16’ height=’9′]

67 Karatz has done it again. I have to say he never disappoints. With his earlier jams like “Coldest Niggas”, “Get Paid” and “Am Waiguru” he is going places. Monitah is a talented singer and song writer a new voice that blends well with this amazing work of art produced by 254CMG’s B3nz On It.

You can stream Stream and download here, share and spread the 254CMG Love!!

Post Image

Oh Lord Oh Lord! It’s Independence day! Happy Madaraka day to all our Kenyan brothers and sisters. Talking about independence, don’t you just hate it when someone is all up in your business? He say she say kind of thing I mean. It really bothers you that someone said something about you an people are saying things about you doesn’t it? Like people judge you without even knowing you or knowing what you’ve been through to get to where you are. That sucks doesn’t it? Well you my friend suffer from GAFD(Giving A F*** Disorder). That’s right. Take it this way. You’re responsible for your own happiness right? As long as you’re happy all is well right? So why not be free? Why not rule your life and take charge of it and make an actual change? It’s actually true what they say change starts with you. Change your attitude toward your life and change your  life.

What better way to pass a message clean and clear than through some good music? 254cmg presents not one but two amazing artists Stin from 254CMG dropping”Weakness” featuring LDC off his newlly released EP “Game of Thongs” (hehehe yeah I know game of thongs) and one rather new affiliation and family too from 420 Degrees Dj Slim B dropping Haunijui featuring Tess and Superprodusir.
